Semiconductor industry veteran Kevin Bligh has joined Silterra Malaysia as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing

He is based in the company's corporate headquarters in Malaysia and reports directly to Bruce Gray, Chief Executive Officer of Silterra. In his role as the top corporate sales executive, Bligh oversees Silterra's worldwide sales and marketing activities. 'Kevin has a lot of experience and excellent high level connections in the industry', said Gray.

'He has a successful track record of growing major accounts at prominent semiconductor companies, and his leadership will help us expand our customer base globally'.

Bligh has over 25 years of experience in the industry.

Prior to joining Silterra, he was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Chief Financial Officer of Silicon Design Solutions, a design intellectual property supplier based in Fremont, California.

Bligh had also held sales executive positions at LSI Logic Corporation and Intel.

He holds BSc and MBA degrees.

'Silterra has a very well defined strategic plan and is executing it beautifully', said Bligh.

'We have the key process technologies and capacity in place'.

'We also have some exciting customer products in the pipeline'.

'I am very pleased to have this wonderful opportunity to take the company through the next growth phase'.

Steve Della Rocchetta will remain as Executive Vice President and will focus on strategic projects and will provide consultation to the sales and marketing team.

Gray added: 'Steve has done an outstanding job in growing the business and building the sales, marketing and technical support teams from scratch'.

'We greatly appreciate his significant contributions to Silterra and everything that he has done for the company'.

'With global wafer foundry utilisation rate at high levels, this is a good time for Kevin to step in and take the baton from Steve'.

Silterra has customers in the USA, Korea, Taiwan and Japan.

The company has sales offices in the Silicon Valley (California) and Hsinchu City (Taiwan) as well as partners to support customers in Japan, Korea and Europe.
