The 2005 Productronica show was a great success for Siemens' Electronics Assembly Systems Division.

The 2005 Productronica show was a great success for Siemens' Electronics Assembly Systems Division.

The presentation of innovative line concepts on the basis of innovative Siplace placement machines attracted many visitors from all over the world to the Siemens stand.

The success of Siplace's software was manifested by the Global Technology Award, with which representatives of Global SMT and Packaging honoured the Siplace team during the trade show.

The European and Asian markets have a positive outlook towards the future, and production solutions from Siemens are exactly what many customers want and need.

The electronics manufacturing market continues to develop worldwide.

In Europe, predominantly in Germany, as well as in Southeast Asia and China, the recovery is accelerating.

Many visitors from Eastern Europe also signalled a clear trend towards higher revenues in that part of the world.

While this trend was not reflected at all exhibitors at this year's Productronica, Siemens was definitely one of its main beneficiaries, as Tilo Brandis, Head of Siemens's EA Division, was pleased to announce: "For us, the Productronica show was a huge success, and we are very happy that our machines and most of all our line and service concepts generated so much interest".

"What stood out was that most technically versed visitors don't let themselves be blinded by theoretical performance specifications, but focus on their entire production as a whole and are interested in tools and options that allow them to further improve their productivity".

Siemens focused on these requirements as well and presented real-life applications on innovative line configurations with Siplace equipment, ranging from the "extreme performance line" to the "extreme flexibility line".

Equipped with features like the Productivity Lift, the Dual Conveyor System and intelligent software, the Siplace team demonstrated how its lines can be adapted to changing requirements within the shortest period of time.

Beyond the technology itself, visitors to the Siplace stand were also highly interested in consulting services from Siemens.

Highly qualified employees demonstrated how they help to optimise electronics manufacturers' production processes in order to increase their overall line effectiveness (OLE).
