Programme boosts platform ASIC support
Sondrel has joined the LSI Logic RapidChip Platform ASIC Partner Programme
Sondrel has joined the LSI Logic RapidChip Platform ASIC Partner Programme, broadening the support on which designers can call when implementing their designs in this cost-effective fast-to-market low-risk technology. The RapidChip platform combines the high-density, high-performance benefits of cell-based ASICs with the fast time-to-market benefits of FPGAs, and the proven IP benefits of ASSPs.

RapidChip Platform ASICs use LSI Logic's CoreWare IP, customisable logic, embedded memory, and innovative design concepts to significantly reduce design and manufacturing risk and costs.
RapidChip Platform ASICs also provide a fast and seamless migration path to full cell-based ASICs to drive unit costs even lower for very high volume applications.
