Rogers Corporation was one of two companies awarded recognition for the most innovative products in an awards ceremony at the Del Mar Electronics Show in April

This was the first of what will become an annual product innovation awards presentation for Del Mar Show exhibitors whose products represent the greatest technical innovation and cost value for the printed circuit board industry. Rogers RO4450B-dx Bondply, the newly introduced high fill/flow version of the industry standard RO4450B Series high frequency circuit material, was one of the winners.

These bondplys are designed to offer superior high frequency performance and low-cost circuit fabrication.

They are part of Rogers' largest selling RO4000 microwave material system that fabricates like FR4, gaining worldwide adoption.

In an interview with the online magazine PCB007, Cesar Santiago, applications development manager at Rogers, said: 'Our new material system allows PCB manufacturers to build more complex microwave printed circuit boards than ever before'.

'Why?

Because we were able to improve its fill/flow characteristics - that's what has made this product of significant interest to our customers'.

In a press release, Douglas Bodenstab, the founder of The Del Mar Electronics Show, wrote: 'This year we saw some truly innovative new products, and we feel that it is time we recognised some of the companies that exhibit at Del Mar'.

'They are doing so much to advance our industry'.

'Clearly Rogers and P Kay Metal [also a winner for its MS2 molten solder surfactant] deserved recognition for bringing these great new products to market'.
