EADS Test and Services has acquired the company Get Electronique based in Castres near Toulouse, France

This small-size company specialises in services in industrial electronics and brings EADS Test and Services additional competencies in electronics repair, maintenance and sustainability in particular for activities aimed at prolonging the service life of systems and installations in such industries as aeronautics, defence, transport and energy.

Get Electronique will become a 100% subsidiary of EADS Test and Services.

Also Managing Director of EADS Test and Services France, Mr Bernard Desaphi will become Get's new Chairman.

Get's Managing Director is Mr Jean-Marie Peyriguer, former Chairman of Get.

In 2005, the new subsidiary generated revenues of Eur 2.5 million and currently employs 27 personnel.

Through this acquisition, EADS Test and Services reinforces its competencies in services for sustaining and prolonging electronics products.

As part of the EADS Group, Get Electronique will find new market opportunities in the aeronautic, defence and space industries while maintaining its traditional industrial electronics markets (robots, control and command systems, engine control systems, speed control systems, power electronics) For more than thirty years, EADS Test and Services has been supplying test solutions to airlines, equipment manufacturers, maintenance organisations and armed forces all over the world.

It is the world leader for testing commercial avionics and has a comprehensive catalogue of test and maintenance products and services.

EADS Test and Services is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the EADS Group and is an integrated part of the EADS Defence and Security Systems Division (DS).

With revenues of about Eur 5.6 billion in 2005 and roughly 23,000 employees across nine nations, DS forms the defence and security pillar within EADS.

As a Large Systems Integrator, it offers integrated systems solutions to the new challenges confronting armed forces and global security.

It is active in the areas of manned and unmanned integrated combat and mission air systems, including related training services, and in missile systems, battlefield management systems for all branches, global security solutions, secure networks, defence electronics, sensors and avionics, as well as related services.
