Rittal has introduced a rapid-assembly subrack, which is suitable for standard Euroboards in 3U and 6U formats.

The Ripac Easy subrack, which can save valuable time in production, is pre-fitted with assembly screws and simply drops into slots in the side plates prior to being tightened up, according to the company.

The horizontal rail is available in five depths and two heights, all using the same technique, which eliminates the usual struggle with multiple parts when there are only two hands to support and assemble.

The subrack caters for 160mm, 220mm and 280mm board depths.

Two configurations allow the use of backplanes or connectors directly mounted to the rear rails of the subrack.

To complete the package, sets of either plain or perforated covers can be slotted into the rail extrusions at the front and the rear to provide mechanical protection for the installed printed circuit boards.
