Rittal launches front-panel customisation service
Rittal has introduced a high-speed service that provides a one-stop shop for the customisation of front panels, including cut-outs, screen printing, engraving and alternative finishes.
The service is specifically aimed at subracks and plug-in board front panels, and is available for flat and profiled EMC panels and also for AMC and PMC panels.

Rittal has introduced a new hi-speed service especially for subracks and plug-in board front panels.
Working with customer specifications, Rittal can assist with design drawings, which are then used to machine the individually customised holes for switches, LEDs or connectors.
Legends and logos can also be printed on the front face if required and standard panel finishes of clear anodising, or clear conductive alochrom for EMC panels can be exchanged for coloured finishes, including paint or plastic film overlay.
All Rittal front panels are fully RoHS compliant.
To complete customisation, Rittal will assemble handles, EMC gaskets and other accessories to the panels as specified.
Rittal said the service reduces customer assembly time, minimises the number of parts ordered and lessens the cost of incoming goods inspection, as a single number can be allocated to the complete assembly.
In addition to assembling the front panels and accessories, Rittal also builds complete subracks, therefore saving customers valuable shop floor time.
This can include backplanes, power, cooling and wiring and even custom sizes if required.
