Instrument case range is expanded with cost-effective basic version.

Rittal Electronic Systems has added a basic cost-effective non-EMC range to the Ripac Vario-Module series of EMC instrument cases.

The complete range has recently been repackaged to offer further customer options, provide greater flexibility and enable adaptability in application.

The smart, rugged, housings are now supplied with either basic or EMC frames to which a choice of plain or ventilated top and bottom covers may be added in a "pick and mix" fashion to suit the required application.

A new mounting plate is also now available in order to avoid perforating the bottom cover when mounting heavy or awkward components.

The Vario-Module cases may be completed as desktop, rack-mount or tower units and all dimensions conform to IEC60297-3.

Internal fittings may be configured to hold VME or CompactPCI backplane systems, and are available as standard parts from the Ripac subrack range.

For portability and instrumentation applications, various handles and feet may be applied as well as acrylic doors to complete the package, which is available from stock in a variety of widths, heights and depths.
