An interface now allows for the data exchange of schematics data between Eplan and the Interbus configuration software CMD of Phoenix Contact.

Using Eplan's Schematics Wizard function, tabular schematic data can be automatically converted into graphical schematics.

The Interbus configuration software CMD provides the data for the generation of bus-specific schematic pages by means of ASCII export functionality.

Schematic changes are only carried out in the Excel table, which is managed by Eplan, and only require a subsequent generation run to update the pages.

This data interface drastically reduces the time and money needed for the documentation, prevents data inconsistencies between the software tools CMD and Eplan on account of its automatic update function, and avoids otherwise tedious and redundant entries.

Furthermore, additional graphical Eplan macros are available for approximately 17 Interbus devices.
