Rhopoint Components has recently been appointed by NVE Corporation to be its exclusive agent for Scandinavia.

Rhopoint Components has been appointed as the exclusive agent in Scandinavia for NVE Corp, and a new range of fully monolithic 40Mbit/s magnetic digital isolators is now available from stock.

These isolators, which have low power dissipation of 4mA, can be used to replace optocouplers in isolation functions, in CANbus/DeviceNet and I2C applications, or as isolated RS422 receivers, isolated relay drivers and isolated wired-or alarms.

The couplers are failsafe and DC-stable, but unlike optocouplers have no intrinsic wear out mechanism.

The new range has floating coil input which is simple to interface to any input voltage from 0.5 to 400V through a current limiting resistor.

40Mbit/s datarates and 7ns pulsewidth distortions are achievable with this series.

The MSOP package option makes this range of isolators one of the smallest available.

The Isolator is also available in a single die package for easy mounting on hybrids.

The range offers isolation of up to 2.5kV RMS in PDIP and SOIC packages, and 1kV RMS in MSOPs.

Two output configurations are available: CMOS and open drain for wire-or connection.

Approval to UL1577 and IEC061010 is pending.
