Z-Communications has announced the model CRO2660B-LF - an RoHS-compliant voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) in S-band.

The CRO2660B-LF operates at 2,660MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5-4.5VDC.

The VCO features a typical phase noise of -114dBc/Hz at 10KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 5MHz/V.

The CRO2660B-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 3dBm at 5VDC supply while drawing 20mA (typical) over the temperature range of -20C to +70C.

The VCO features typical second harmonic suppression of -20dBc and comes in Z-Comm's standard Mini-16 package, measuring 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.22in.

It is available in tape-and-reel packaging for production requirements.

The CRO2660B-LF is said to be ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.

It is also suitable for satellite communication and fixed wireless applications that require ultra-low phase noise performance.
