Rhopoint Components has unveiled a new range of high-current shunt resistors.

Rhopoint Components has unveiled a new range of high-current shunt resistors.

The new resistors are ideally suited for kilowatt-hour meters and other high current, low ohm, shunts where a high degree of precision is needed.

The resistors are made from punched electron-beam-welded copper manganin copper or copper aluchrome copper.

Three new models are available, two are PCB mounted and one is a busbar mounted version.

One of the PCB mounted versions has convenient screw terminals, which allows the bus bar connections to be made to the printed circuit board.

Versions are available with resistance values down to 0.16mohm.
