The new R and S SMx-K48 software option covers signals for the IEEE802.11a/b/g WLAN standards.

The new R and S SMx-K48 software option covers signals for the IEEE802.11a/b/g WLAN standards.

By using the R and S SMx-K44 GPS option, users can now generate signals which may come from up to four GPS satellites.

Both options run on all signal generators of the R and S SMx family - the R and S SMU200A, the SMATE and the SMJ100A - thus ensuring high signal quality, short setting times and convenient operation for reliable measurements.

An external PC is not necessary.

Rohde and Schwarz is the only company to offer vector signal generators tailored exactly to the needs of each and every user.

The R and S SMU200A - optionally with two paths - is especially suited for R and D purposes, whereas the R and S SMATE is an ATE unit with extremely short setting times to meet production requirements.

The R and S SMJ100A is an all-purpose instrument featuring excellent signal quality and flexible baseband.

It is used both in R and D and in production.

The R and S SMx-K48 software option offers several functions to make the three generators WLAN-compatible: The maximum chip/sample rate is 20Msample/s for OFDM IEEE802.11a/g and 11Msample/s for CCK/PBCC IEEE802.11b/g.

Plus, the PSDU bit rates can be varied and MAC headers activated.

To facilitate the development of mobile radio equipment with GPS functionality, Rohde and Schwarz offers the R and S SMx-K44 GPS option.

Current almanac navigation data is used as useful data, PN sequences for bit error rate tests.

For each R and S SMx B10/B11 baseband option, signals which may come from up to four GPS satellites are generated.

The R and S SMJ 100A thus simulates a maximum of four satellites, the R and S SMU200A and SMATE vector signal generators even up to eight, provided two integrated baseband generators are used.

The R and S SMx-K48 and SMx-K44 software options are now available from Rohde and Schwarz.
