Using combinations of special, diagonally arranged LED lighting units and homogeneous LED ring lighting from above, users can take pictures, analyse the position of components (presence and position) and check quality features (soldered joints, polarities, short circuits etc) as necessary.

For component detection it is always important to accurately locate the housing corners as well as the typical features.

With low-quality housings or dark PCB materials (black component on a dark circuit board), correctly detecting components can be a problem.

The diagonally arranged lighting units offer optimum illumination for making corners and features visible and so allowing them to be analysed.

Homogeneous light from above provides excellent results when checking soldered joints.

For this purpose, the user would take several pictures with different illumination for each table position.

These illumination profiles can be saved in the library for the different housing types, which means they can be re-used in new test programs with no extra programming effort.

For Schneider and Koch, easy operation and the advantages of using tools in the process of series debugging have always been a top priority.

In addition to being user-friendly, the system offers a high test depth and thus reliably detects critical errors - even in the case of extreme clock cycle requirements.
