Test technologies in focus at Nepcon UK

Visitors to Nepcon 2007 will witness advanced test solutions from specialist exhibitors, which deliver fast, repeatable and cost-effective solutions to testing and improving advanced products using the latest components and assembly technologies. Advances in in-circuit test will include the new Medalist VTEP v2.0 from Agilent Technologies, a suite of vectorless test techniques that also introduces Network Parameter Measurement Technology.

Visitors to the Process Support Products stand can also witness how the Marantz Rep22X Statistics and Repair Desk software unlocks valuable productivity enhancements during product manufacture and beyond.
Other inspection solutions on display will include benchtop and in line AOI equipment from Cupio targeting high-volume or small mixed-batch board production.
Cupio will also demonstrate high resolution offline and inline X-ray inspection systems for semiconductor and EMS companies, combination board testers for complex PCBs, as well as specialist telecom test solutions and memory card copy stations.
Staying with the AOI theme, YesTek will be highlighting how its solutions put AOI within the reach of all manufacturers, providing an effective tool to drive process improvement and quality assurance as well as inspection.
Among other displays of accurate benchtop solutions, Terotest will demonstrate its range of automatic test equipment, from low-cost benchtop systems to high-speed digital in-circuit test, as well as high voltage cable testers and test fixtures for a full range of systems.
Cimbian will highlight the advantages of strong global links between design, development and manufacturing, to optimise inspection and test and automatic CAD data preparation for close coupling between production and routes to market.
In addition to board test solutions, Nepcon visitors will be able to see cable and harness test solutions from Cirris Systems, spanning applications from small, low-cost cabling solutions, to high-end complex harnesses including aerospace equipment.
A focal point of the Cirris Stand will be the company's latest HiPot solution for testing conductor and insulation integrity.
Among suppliers to the PCB design and fabrication industry, Polar Instruments will demonstrate accurate and intuitive software and systems used for modelling and test of high speed interconnects.
Testworks Group will be exhibiting electronic manufacturing test, inspection and assembly solutions, and will also highlight systems integration and custom applications services as well as a fast turnaround flying probe board test service.
As main distributors for Espec Test Chambers, Unitemp will be demonstrating a variety of solutions at Nepcon 2007, highlighting its position as a specialist in the design, development supply, service and maintenance of all types of environmental test chambers and equipment.
Accelonix will demonstrate the web-based flexibility and cost-effectiveness of Tecnomatix Manufacturing Execution Software (MES) covering the entire PCB assembly and box build process.
