The new Pixelmetrix DVStation-IP Portable is stand-alone product that can be set to sniff out video traffic on any set of IP address pairs, extract the MPEG-2 transport stream, and perform extensive MPEG-2 verification. Its portable design means it will be useful for field trials and for operational monitoring.

The product comes in a handy portable package and supports 10, 100 and 1000Mbit/s Ethernet.
The DVStation-IP Portable performs real-time comprehensive transport stream monitoring of: bandwidth utilisation; packet interval; TR101-290 compliance; PCR jitter; real time transport stream decode; and real time PSI/SI/PSIP table decode.
The system supports multiple IP connections using either RTP or the de facto encapsulation.
Additionally, the 'join' feature allows full verification of multicast services.
It also has configurable thresholds and alarm settings, bandwidth displayed by service name, live video display, HTML, SNMP and Corba remote control all under one handle.
