ON Semiconductor has hired Peter Green as Vice President and General Manager of its Integrated Power Devices Division.
As part of its drive to strengthen its focus on customer satisfaction and market growth, ON Semiconductor has hired Peter Green as Vice President and General Manager of its Integrated Power Devices Division.
During the last 21 years, Green has led six different divisions at Intel Corp where he spearheaded the introduction of products critical to their successful entrance into new markets.
Most recently, Green was the General Manager of Intel's Extended Computing Division and was responsible for the introduction of a highly effective technology architecture that set the standard across several divisions within the company.
Prior to Intel, Green spent seven years at Texas Instruments as a marketing director and worked as a research scientist for two years at Plessey Allen Clark Research Centre.
"Peter has the innate ability to take an advanced technology and build a business model around it for the successful entrance into a new market", said Keith Jackson, ON Semiconductor President and CEO.
"The infusion of Peter's recognised entrepreneurial expertise will enable us to accelerate the pace at which we turn our technologies into successful products that generate new sources of revenue".
Green earned his master's degree in microwave and telecommunications theory from the University of Sheffield, UK, and his bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Leeds, UK.
