OK Industries has named Mark Tutty as Business Development Manager for Europe. Long known for its extensive range of interconnect tools for copper voice/data lines, including industry leading wire wrapping tools, OK Industries is helping to redefine and improve connection technologies with ergonomically designed tools that help technicians improve productivity, in part, by making their jobs easier, less repetitive and physically less demanding. As industry deregulation takes hold and telecomms services are unbundled, OK Industries expects telecomms and fibre optics to realise unprecedented expansion, in spite of the recent downturns seen in all segments of electronics-related technologies.

"The markets are changing", said Tutty, "but within that change comes opportunity for service-driven companies able to develop innovative products that meet the needs of a 'new look' communications industry".

"OK Industries is committed to telecommunications and fibre optics markets with a series of tools that make life easier for technicians", said Tutty.

"The new PTX series of wire wrapping/unwrapping tools is a primary example of new product design that adds practical innovation to the technician's standard set of tools.

This innovative range of electric and battery powered tools delivers advanced ergonomics, including a lightweight, well balanced construction, a dual-finger short-throw trigger and a long handle to mitigate pressure on the palm all of which prevent repetitive stresses and push technician productivity".

At the core of OK Industries' success is a dedication to pioneering, practical product development and outstanding customer support.

The company continues to build strong, solid sales channels in the UK and Western Europe, with distributors who know the industry, know the markets and have a proven track record of first-rate customer service.

"Our distributor network is strong and growing stronger", Tutty explained.

"I see this distribution expansion and full service approach as a core part of my job and absolutely key to gaining telecom/datacom market share with our new products".
