nSys Design Systems has joined the ARM Connected Community, giving it access to a full range of resources to help it market and deploy innovative solutions that will enable developers to get their ARM powered products to market faster. 'The availability of the nVS (nSys Verification Suite) for the amba 3 AXI protocol fills the gap for Verilog based designs'. 'The nVS for the Amba 3 AXI protocol is based on our nVS family of Verification suites that has matured as a result of constant dialogue, interaction and research with the user community'.
'Also with the availability of Verification IPs (VIPs) for on-chip interconnect from nSys, users can now verify their I/O standards blocks that support Amba protocol-based interconnects using nVS at both the interfaces of their blocks, eg PCI Express and the Amba 3 AXI interface', said Atul Bhatia, Director, nSys Design Systems.
Besides the basic, directed, error and random tests, the nVS for Amba 3 AXI interconnects has tests designed to ensure complete assertion coverage of the AXI protocol as defined by the assertion-based Amba 3 AXI protocol rule sets available from ARM.
This will give designers confidence that their Amba 3 AXI protocol-based designs verified using the nVS will accurately adhere to the Amba 3 AXI protocol.
nSys has always been in the forefront for providing innovative Verification solutions for the developer community.
Incorporation of test suites in the nVS for Amba 3 AXI protocol-based interconnects would significantly reduce the verification time as developers will be able to achieve their functional coverage goal much sooner.
Availability of test suites would ensure assertion coverage as defined by the assertion-based Amba 3 AXI protocol rule sets available from ARM and will lead to higher compatibility and compliance of Amba 3 AXI protocol-based designs.
The ARM Connected Community is a global network of companies aligned to provide a complete solution, from design to manufacture and end use, for products based on the ARM architecture.
ARM offers a variety of resources to community members, including promotional programs and peer-networking opportunities that enable a variety of ARM Partners to come together to provide end-to-end customer solutions.
'The Connected Community is a forum for companies to work together to provide the most complete solutions in the shortest possible time'.
'By joining the community, which now comprises more than 330 companies, nSys Design Systems increases the large portfolio of skills, products and services that are centred around the ARM architecture, and currently available to developers worldwide', said Ian Thornton, Director of Solutions Marketing, ARM.
