Gothic goes lead-free

Gothic Components is to stock the rapidly growing range of lead-free surface mount aluminium capacitors from NIC Components Europe.

Gothic Components, the recently appointed distributor for NIC Components Europe's range of Passive components will now stock the company's rapidly growing range of lead-free surface mount aluminium capacitors.
NIC has taken a positive and proactive approach to both Pb-free and RoHS legislation.
In addition to the lead-free products it offers, the company also provides comprehensive information on its website that includes transition roadmaps and a list of lead-free components complete with appropriate solder profiles and test reports.
As well as marketing NIC products, Wokingham, UK based Gothic Components also provides design-in support for its customers in sectors such as instrumentation, automotive, broadcast and lighting.
With its technical competence the company is well positioned to assist customers as the RoHS and WEEE Directives take effect.
Commenting on the new stocking policy with NIC, Ted Senescall, Acal Technology 's Operations and Quality assurance Director and also the company representative to the AFDEC RoHs/WEEE team said: 'NIC has taken a very positive stance with respect to Pb-free and RoHS and we are looking forward to supporting our customers with their latest legislation RoHs compatible SMD aluminium capacitors'.
