NIC Eurotech has expanded its range of ultra-low-ESR high-ripple-current capacitors. The NTP series of surface-mount polymer-cathode tantalum electrolytic capacitors are especially useful in designs that have low-voltage and high-current characteristics. Typical applications include DC/DC convertors, power supplies and voltage regulator modules.

With ESR values as low as 0.025ohm, the NTP series can be used as a direct alternative to low ESR tantalum or, low impedance aluminium electrolytic capacitors.

The combustion suppressing characteristic of the polymer cathode giving the additional benefit of improved safety compared to the other device styles.

With the new additions to the NTP series capacitance values ranging from 3.3 to 470uF are now available.

The rated working voltages of the capacitors are between 4 and 10V DC.

Operating temperature range is -55 to +105C and case sizes available are A, B, C, V and D.

All devices in the range are supplied in tape and reel packaging and are suitable for reflow soldering.
