The LMP7707 single, LMP7708 dual, LMP7709 quad, LMP7717 single and LMP7718 dual are the latest additions to the National Semiconductor's PowerWise range.

National Semiconductor has released five precision operational amplifiers (op amps) for portable test and measurement, industrial and medical systems that require signal conditioning and sensor interface accuracy at gains of 6V/V or higher The LMP7707 single, LMP7708 dual, LMP7709 quad, LMP7717 single and LMP7718 dual are the latest additions to the company's PowerWise energy-efficient product family

The LMP7717 delivers 88MHz gain bandwidth while consuming only 1.15mA of quiescent current, while the LMP7707 provides 14MHz gain bandwidth at 0.715mA of quiescent current.

These high bandwidth to power ratios improve power efficiency and extend battery life in portable devices.

The precision of the LMP7717 and LMP7718 support data acquisition systems of 16bit or greater.

In these high-resolution data acquisition systems, the designer commonly scales the output of a sensor to the full-scale input of an analogue-to-digital convertor (ADC) to ensure optimum sensitivity.

The new LMP precision op amps are built on National's VIP50 BiCMOS process technology.

VIP50 allows National to design higher-performance precision op amps, along with most power-efficient, low-voltage amplifiers.
