NI expands online training courses
National Instruments (NI) has announced an expansion of live instructor-led online training that provides more product training courses in more locations
To broaden the NI training offering and to provide more flexible options for NI customers working to improve their technical skills, instructor-led online training is now available in Europe, in addition to the US and Canada.
Engineers can participate in live online training for National Instruments Labview software as well as NI Teststand, DIAdem, Labwindows/CVI, Multisim and Ultiboard software.
'As these instructor-led, interactive training courses are available in half-day instalments, participants can take part in the courses from their desks, saving travel costs and time away from the office,' said John Pasquarette, vice-president of product marketing for software at National Instruments.
Using internet chat or voice over internet protocol (VoIP), participants interact in real time with the instructor during live online training courses.
With the recent European expansion, instructor-led online training is now offered to European customers in Italian, French, Spanish and German in addition to English.
Identical in coursework to NI regional training courses, instructor-led online training gives participants remote access to hardware and software.
Before the training begins, the course manual, complete with exercises for download before the course, is available for participants.
They also receive a recording of the actual session after the class concludes.
Engineers with NI Training and Certification membership have access to unlimited regional and online training courses and certifications for one year at one price.
For engineers who require only a limited number of courses in a shorter period of time, a six-month membership is also available.
Using knowledge gained through NI training, engineers and scientists can take exams to confirm their technical growth and skills.
