Anthony Nygren is taking over the responsibilities of marketing communications from Bob Judd, Measurement Computing's new Vice President of Hardware Engineering

Anthony Nygren, Measurement Computing's Vice President of Strategic Marketing, is taking over the responsibilities of marketing communications from Bob Judd, Measurement Computing's new Vice President of Hardware Engineering. When Judd was promoted to VP Hardware in October 2004, he continued to manage the MarCom group while Nygren concentrated on strategic marketing research and analyses.

Moving responsibility for marketing communications to Nygren will create a more efficient system for translating strategy to communications; at the same time, the move will enable Judd to focus exclusively on developing new hardware.

Nygren has an MBA from Babson College, specialisation in marketing, plus extensive experience as a marketing consultant to business-to-business and business-to-consumer companies including IBM, MCI, TXU and the New England Journal of Medicine.

He stated: 'I am truly excited to have the opportunity to translate what we have learned and are continuing to learn about the market into communications that will enable us to capture the substantial opportunity I believe exists for us in this market'.

'For customers using PCI or ISA buses, we continue to say 'the only difference is the price', with the same performance boards for much lower prices than NI'.

'For those customers moving away from these buses to new interfaces, I believe our new products and our upcoming products will offer very attractive alternative and replacement solutions at great prices to meet their data acquisition needs'.

'Bringing those customers to MCC will be extremely rewarding'.

Judd has an engineering degree from Brown University, and an MBA from MIT Sloan.

He remarked: 'After many years in marketing, I'm delighted to get back to my roots in the hardware engineering world'.

'I'm looking forward to facing the technical issues that will arise in the future'.

'I'm also very happy that I'm able to leave the marketing group in such capable hands'.
