Rated at 15, 30 and 45A, the stackable connectors are ideal for power applications such as materials handling equipment, electric vehicles, communications equipment, electric wheelchairs, office furniture partitions and power supplies. The Tyco Electronics AMP Power Series 15, 30 and 45 connectors are identical in size and dovetail interlocking features allow horizontal and vertical stacking of any combination of connectors, within the common housing.
Separate contacts for 15, 30 or 45A determine the connector rating, together with the appropriate thickness of wire.
The maximum current rating is achieved with a 45A contact and 10AWG wire.
The connectors use an impact resistant, colour-coded, UL94V0 polycarbonate housing and are available in blue, black, white, green, red, yellow, orange and grey.
Contacts are constructed from silver plated copper and offer low resistance and superior conductivity.
In addition, the mating action minimises arcing by scraping corrosion from mating surfaces after each mating cycle.
All contacts are rated at 600V AC or DC.
