Distribution system signs up for Wal-Mart

The VDS player-to-screen multimedia distribution system from Minicom Advanced Systems has been installed as part of a digital signage network for 300 Wal-Mart de Mexico department stores.

The new system featuring dynamic in-store advertising will be viewed by 50 million shoppers every month.

The joint project combines the multimedia content of Grupo Televisa - the largest media company in the Spanish-speaking world; Wal-Mart de Mexico; and Minicom's CAT5 Video Display System (VDS) for player-to-screen content distribution.
