Laser printing system for low-cost labelling
A new low-cost labelling system based on A4 polyester sheets that can be printed on a standard laser printer has been introduced by Mega Electronics.

A new low-cost labelling system based on A4 polyester sheets that can be printed on a standard laser printer has been introduced by Mega Electronics. Known as Quick-Laser, the new system is ideally suited to the production of rating labels, tamperproof labels or equipment panels in electronics manufacturing and general industrial applications. Because the system can be used with any standard desktop computer and laser printer, it eliminates the need for capital expenditure on dedicated thermal printers or software found with alternative approaches to the production of durable labels.
The A4 polyester sheets are available in a range of different colours and with over 50 die-cut variants for producing peel-off labels.
Because the laser toner goes into the surface of the sheet, the labels are very durable.
However, A4 sheets can easily be overlaminated with polyester or polycarbonate film for extra protection.
A strong modified acrylic adhesive is used for attaching the labels.
It is possible to produce tamperproof labels with a 'void' image remaining in the adhesive if the label is removed.
Standard temperature range is -40øC to +150øC.
A high-temperature (+300øC) version is also available.
The A4 sheets are supplied in packs of 50.
