Regulators supply always-on power
The MAX8718 and MAX8719 are high-input-voltage linear regulators that supply always-on, keep-alive power to CMOS RAM, real-time clocks and microcontrollers.
The MAX8718 and MAX8719 are small, high-input-voltage linear regulators that supply always-on, keep-alive power to CMOS RAM, real-time clocks (RTC), and microcontrollers in systems with high-voltage batteries The low 25uA quiescent supply current is essential for these micropower applications

Speedy DAC claims dynamic superiority for comms
The MAX5195 is a 14bit 260Msample/s DAC claimed to provide the world's best dynamic performance in spurious-free dynamic range, intermodulation distortion and signal to noise ratio.
Even when subjected to fast supply-voltage changes that occur during the switchover from battery to AC-adapter input power, the MAX8718 provides a fixed 5 or 3.3V output.
The MAX8719 has an adjustable 1.24 to 8V output.
In addition to their principal application in notebook computers, these devices are useful in other low-power, high-voltage applications (4-28V input), such as smart batteries, current-control loops, telecomms emergency power, and housekeeping power for offline supplies.
The MAX8718 and MAX8719 are available in thermally enhanced, 8-pin TDFN packages.
These devices are screened for the -40 to +85C industrial temperature range.
Prices start at $0.99 (1000-up, FOB USA).
A pre-assembled evaluation kit (MAX8718/MAX8719EVKIT) is available on request.
