Speedy DAC claims dynamic superiority for comms
The MAX5195 is a 14bit 260Msample/s DAC claimed to provide the world's best dynamic performance in spurious-free dynamic range, intermodulation distortion and signal to noise ratio.
Excellent AC performance (THD -100dB) and DC accuracy (+/-1LSB INL) make them ideal for industrial process control, instrumentation, and medical applications.
This family of ADCs operate from a single +5V supply and features a separate DVDD pin, which allows for direct interfacing to 2.7 to 5.25V digital logic.
Low-power operation consumes only 23mW at the maximum conversion rate of 135Ksample/s.
Automatic shutdown between conversions reduces operating current to 0.4mA at 10Ksample/s.
An internal 4.096V or external reference determines the full-scale analogue input range.
The 16bit-wide parallel interface devices (MAX1157/MAX1159/MAX1175/MAX1179/MAX1187/MAX1189) are available in 28-pin TSSOP packages.
The 8bit wide parallel interface devices (MAX1156/MAX1158/MAX1174/MAX1177/MAX1178/MAX1188) are available in 20-pin TSSOP packages.
Both packages are available in the extended (-40 to +85C) and commercial (0 to +70C) temperature ranges.
Prices start at $10.78 (1000-up, FOB USA).
