Speedy DAC claims dynamic superiority for comms
The MAX5195 is a 14bit 260Msample/s DAC claimed to provide the world's best dynamic performance in spurious-free dynamic range, intermodulation distortion and signal to noise ratio.
Low-power serial ADC runs up to 200Ksample/s
New from Maxim Integrated Products, the MAX1162 serial-interface 16bit A/D convertor connects directly to SPI, QSPI and Microwire devices without additional interface logic.
Their ultra-compact 2 x 2mm SC70 and small SOT23 packages save space.
The MAX8515's 1.7 to 28V input range allows operation from an unregulated supply.
Unlike traditional shunt regulators, the supply voltage and feedback of the MAX8515A/MAX8515 are independent of the shunt-regulator stage, allowing it to sink currents even at very low output voltages.
The MAX8515A regulates the output voltage with +/-0.5% initial accuracy and +/-1% accuracy over the -40 to +85C temperature range.
The MAX8515 regulates the output voltage with +/-1% initial accuracy and +/-1.8% accuracy over the -40 to +85C temperature range.
The MAX8515A/MAX8515 can also be used as adjustable-output shunt references.
Combine them with a low-cost NPN BJT to design a low-dropout linear regulator for cost-conscious applications that do not require short-circuit, current-limit, or thermal overload protection.
The MAX8515EXK and MAX8515AEXK are available in tiny 2 x 2mm 5-pin SC70 packages specified for the extended-industrial temperature range (-40 to +85C).
The MAX8515EZK and MAX8515AEZK are available in small 5-pin SOT23 packages.
The MAX8515EZK prices start at $0.48 (1000-up, FOB, USA).
An evaluation kit is available to speed designs.
