Available now from Panasonic Electric Works UK, the AXT series of ultracompact board to board connectors feature a pitch of only 0.35mm. The AXT series are filled with all the features for which the company's connectors are renowned, including: V-notch technology, tough contact construction, Ni barrier and porosity treatment.
All these technologies ensure a connector that is more physically robust and longer lasting than previous generations.
The AXT connector series is available in a mated stacking height of 1.5mm with connections from 20 to 100 ways.
Due to the high density achieved from the 0.35mm pitch even the 100 way connector is still only approximately 20mm long.
The reduction in pitch has achieved a overall size reduction against or P4S series (0.4mm pitch) in excess of 11% board area (for a 40-way version).
Typical applications for these connectors include portable communication equipment such as mobile phones and PDAs Request a free brochure from Panasonic Electric Works UK....
