Wickmann Components has a surface-mount fuse socket designed to accept radial leaded TR5 and TE5 subminiature fuses, providing cost savings of up to 50% compared with other solutions.

The 564 series socket permits the surface mounting and easy replacement of fuses rated at up to 250V and with current ratings from 50mA to 6.3A.

The socket, which will also accept Wickmann's lower cost range of circuit protectors, will fit on a standard 6125 pad.

The holder overcomes the problem of high-temperature soldering processes limiting users to fast-acting fuses, allowing true time-lag fuses to be specified.

The assembly also has excellent current interruption capabilities with no inherent leakage current.

With a body formed from UL94V0-rated thermoplastic, the socket is supplied in blister tape for automatic placement.
