Probe provides wide
dynamic measuring range
The first of a new range of high frequency current probes, the HFR3000 provides a wide dynamic measuring range up to 3000A AC at frequencies from 1Hz to 1MHz
LEM has introduced the first of a new range of high frequency LEM-flex current probes. The HFR3000 provides a wide dynamic measuring range up to 3000A AC at frequencies from 1Hz to 1MHz. The new probe is intended for use with oscilloscopes and recorders providing accurate, nonintrusive measurement of sinusoidal, pulsed and other complex waveforms.

The HFR3000 probes are available with three head lengths - 200, 500 and 800mm.
The flexible measuring head has a diameter of only 6mm, allowing it to be used in confined spaces.
The unit is supplied with a 1.5m output cable, simplifying nonintrusive AC measurements in many different applications such as power electronic convertors, induction heating, welding systems, motor and generator control drives and capacitor discharge systems.
Typical accuracy is +/-1% of nominal current.
The unit can be powered either via an optional external power supply (provided with adapters for worldwide use) or by a 9V PP3 battery with low-battery indicator.
This offers a flexible, lightweight solution to AC measurement requirements without the need to load the test circuit.
The HFR3000 current probes are fully compliant with IEC1010 safety requirements and rated 600V CATIII.
This provides confidence when working in hazardous voltage areas.
Conformance to EMC standards ensures high reliability through reduced susceptibility to electromagnetic influences.
