The Korenix JetCard 1400 Series comprises two- and four-port RS422/485 universal PCI multiport serial cards, specially designed for long distance industrial applications that require high speed RS422/485 interfaces. What makes JetCard 1400 Series unique is its heart - the Oxford OXmPCI954 chip is a four-port UART well-known for its high performance.
It not only equips the JetCard 1400 Series with a high speed of 921.6Kbit/s and a 128byte FIFO, but also provides onboard flow control function and automatic flow direction switching technology.
Instead of using a driver on the PC to control the traffic flow, JetCard uses the onboard flow control function to reacts directly without waiting for the PC to respond.
In this way, the response time and CPU's loading can be largely reduced, greatly enhancing system performance.

Under a multidrop two-wire RS485 mode, the timing for switching between idle mode (data not being transmitted) and active mode (data being transmitted) must be precise and accurate.
With this technology, the JetCard 1400 Series can effectively increase RS485 transmission performance, and largely relieve the PC from the burden of using a driver to switch modes.
With the onboard flow control function and automatic flow direction switching technology, the Korenix JetCard 1400 Series can alleviate CPU loading and ensure more reliable and effective communications.
