Klari-Fuse detects errors in automobile electronics with precise measurement of currents in vehicle fuse devices
A vehicle has a large number of fuses. If not only an evaluation of the total electricity consumption is needed but also the precise monitoring of single currents or the power supply in certain areas, this monitoring should be done via fuse devices. The Stuttgart-based company Klaric has developed the Klari-Fuse.

This multichannel millivoltmeter measures currents in different branches of vehicle fuse boxes, using low-ohm sensor resistors.
Klari-Fuse has eight connectors with precision contacts on its front-side.
As well as the inputs for the voltage measurement, there are special serial communication lines which enable the user to read out configuration data from the connected measuring adapters, such as measurement range, calibration values, and so on.
This makes Klari-Fuse very precise and user-friendly.
The voltage inputs as well as the power supply and the CAN interface are floating.
Measurements can be taken within the range +/- 7.5 to +/-150mV and with 16bit resolution.
This enables the user, for example with 7.5A fuses, to resolve currents of up to 10uA.
Each measuring input takes integrating measurements with its own convertor unit.
The eight channels work in parallel.
The delayed-phase data exchange between the inputs and the omission of changeovers between the measuring channels ensure that there is no loss of data at any of the measuring inputs.
The maximum datarate per channel is approximately 2ms.
