KIC has opened its first European office, increasing its presence in Europe, and further enhancing the support available to customers, partners and distributors. KIC's products help manufacturers to increase yields while reducing defect rates and costs by monitoring, controlling and managing thermal process applications such as wave soldering, SMT reflow, curing, high-temperature furnaces and rework. Because production is maintained within specifications, the consistency of first-pass yields as well as the long-term quality of end products is ensured.

Miles Moreau has also been appointed to the position of General Manager for KIC Europe and will be based at the new office in the UK.

Moreau joined KIC in 1992, and has served as Vice President for R and D for the past 2.5 years.

"The current market is characterised by intense competition among electronic assemblers in Europe and with assemblers in Asia, especially China", said Miles Moreau.

"The European manufacturers are investing in better quality and productivity technologies to improve their competitiveness vis a vis lower cost countries".

KIC's range of products includes the award winning KIC 24/7 thermal management system, the Slim-KIC 2000 thermal profiler, Navigator optimising software, the Prophet thermal manager and Auto-Predict software.

KIC's industry-leading technology has achieved market leadership in America and Asia, and the new office will support the rapid adoption of KIC solutions across Europe, Israel and South Africa.

"KIC's products provide tools to help give our customers a competitive edge by improving quality and lowering manufacturing costs.

This is essential to maintaining profitability and keeping business and manufacturing in the European market", said Bjorn Dahle, President of KIC.

"We feel that our product offerings are a good fit for the needs of the European electronics manufacturer, in helping them compete in the global marketplace".
