The WinDriver driver development tool now supports Microsoft Windows CE.NET on ARM PrimeXsys platforms
Jungo Software Technologies' WinDriver driver development tool now supports Microsoft Windows CE.NET on ARM PrimeXsys platforms. WinDriver 6.03 enables hardware access and driver development for both PCI and USB devices. "This step forward by Jungo demonstrates its commitment to extending WinDriver's support to ARM PrimeXsys platforms.

As a majority of Windows CE.NET devices are now based on the ARM architecture, this new toolkit will significantly shorten and simplify current development activity for many software designers", said Mary Inglis, Director of Operating Systems and Alliances, ARM.
WinDriver enables development of high performance drivers for USB and PCI peripheral devices that run Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Windows CE.NET, Linux, Solaris and VxWorks, providing crossplatform capabilities that enable porting of code between all supported operating systems.
WinDriver provides graphical development environments, application programming interfaces (APIs), hardware diagnostic utilities and samples to accelerate driver development.
