Innovision Research and Technology has appointed David Wollen as CEO
Innovision Research and Technology has again strengthened its senior management team. As part of its positioning for future growth in the expanding market for short-range wireless connectivity technology the company has appointed David Wollen as CEO (Chief Executive Officer). He takes over from Marc Borrett, one of the original founders, who moves to the new role of Business Development Director.

David Wollen was formerly the General Manager of the Mobile and Smartcard Businesses and Marketing Director for Renesas Technology Europe and a Director of Hitachi Microsystems.
Prior to that he spent 10 years at Dialog Semiconductor, for which he was the founding Marketing Director and during which time he established the US subsidiary.
He said: 'I am intrigued by the way that mobile communications technology is converging with the world of smart cards'.
'I believe the market for technologies that offer simple, and secure two-way data interactions among electronic devices, allowing consumers to perform contactless transactions, offers great potential'.
'The challenge of helping a company with Innovision R and T's impressive technology and engineering skills to position itself to further exploit these opportunities is very exciting'.
Wollen's 25-year plus career in the semiconductor and computer industries, includes helping to manage and develop both multinational companies, such as DEC and TI, and small startups working in fast-growing markets.
He continued: 'One of the major factors that attracted me to Innovision R and T was the potential offered by the existing engineering team and IP, which is now becoming even stronger with the arrival of Heikki Huomo from Nokia as Technical Director'.
'I am particularly looking forward to working closely with Marc Borrett on the development of the business, especially in NFC, which is in its infancy'.
