Sponsorship supports NFC innovation
Innovision Research and Technology has thrown its weight behind the first ever European NFC competition
Called 'Touching the future', the competition was launched earlier this month by the NFC Forum in partnership with the SmartTouch project, to help promote innovation and excellence in NFC service implementations throughout Europe. As a gold sponsor, Innovision R and T will be involved in judging the 16 finalists at the NFC Developer's Summit at this year's WIMA event in Monaco in April.

The European NFC competition is divided into two tracks: Track A - for NFC services already implemented in Europe, either as full deployments or pilots; and Track B - for proposals for future services.
Submissions to Track A will be evaluated on demonstrated process and service improvements and cost savings; and those in Track B will be judged on creativity, innovation, and business potential.
Companies and academic teams are being encouraged to enter their ideas.
The extended deadline for submitting a preliminary proposal to Track B is 19th February 2007, and the deadline for final submission to both tracks is 12th March 2007.
