Depanelling machine is cost-effective alternative
The TopRouter is an offline depanelling machine that offers an affordable alternative to inline equipment.

New from IPTE, the TopRouter is an offline depanelling machine that offers an affordable alternative to inline equipment. Practically all PCBs are cut from panels made up of multiple boards. During such operations, it is essential to avoid damaging both the boards and any components on them.
But in many cases production batches are rarely of such size that inline manufacturing/assembly with automated depanelling can be used.
On many shop floors, the product mix is too high to follow the automation concept in the depanelling step as well.
It is exactly for this kind of application IPTE has developed TopRouter.
Here, loading/unloading of the boards into and from the machine is performed using a rotating table with an integrated, specific workpiece holder.
The panels can be processed by sawing or milling or with a combination of both depending on the different requirements.
Importantly, TopRouter can be operating with two milling heads at the same time.
A combination of miller and saw is also an option.
The x and y-drives for positioning of milling and sawing spindles are equipped with wear-free modern linear drives.
The maximum size of the panels is dependent on the combination of the cutting tools used, and varies from 365 x 325 to 450 x 380mm.
Further options add to the versatility of the new machine.
For example, the offline TopRouter can be equipped with an automated tool changer unit for up to ten milling devices in direct access.
Furthermore, a vision system can be used to monitor and control the positioning of work pieces, thereby correcting the cutting process.
According to the particular application, users can also select from a variety of different vacuum cleaner units.
