The Powerware 9340 SCR is a next-generation top of the line addition to the award winning PW9340 from Invensys Powerware. Packed with all the latest features and available at a competitive price the 9340 offers industrial and harsh environments solid high tech power protection 24/7. According to Jorma Mannerkoski, product marketing director, EMEA, "The Powerware 9340 SCR model is the optimal product for performance, has an competitive price and offers the highest level of power protection available on the market to date.
It was hard to imagine how we would improve the PW9340, a truly state of the art UPS system, but we have and we can now offer our customers, yet again, the most advanced online double conversion topology, with electrifying additions".
Optimised for 130kVA design, the PW 9340 is the only three-phase UPS to offer either a state of the art IGBT rectifier or a traditional thyristor rectifier (SCR) technology.
The PW 9340 also comes with four communication slots for extensive connectivity and communication.
"In addition, the cost effective installation process together with the benefits of higher availability to the load, lower harmonics and 24/7 protection will change the way IT managers view back up solutions", adds Mannerkoski.
The Powerware 9340 is an ideal back up solution for server farms, data centres in addition to industrial controls and process environments, designed with dynamic conditions in mind.

The PW 9340 SCR comes bundled with the Powerware Software Suite CD that includes Powerware's award-winning power management software LanSafe and PowerVision with easy to use installation wizards.
Other features of the SCR model include the advanced battery management (ABM) with temperature compensation, prolonging battery life by an average of 50% and ensuring that the load never crashes due to a bad or defected battery.
All this comes in a modern easy-to-operate unit with a graphical LCD display and cabling possible from the top and from the bottom.
Its ergonomic design gives true front access making it easy to exchange parts from the front.
The back to the wall installation saves on valuable floor space, and finally it has fixing holes in each corner.
The Powerware 9340 SCR will be shipping throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa region in July 2002.
