New from Inphi Corp, the 13750DE/13751DE differential encoder is the first commercially available, single-chip solution to deliver up to 12.5Gbit/s differential phase shift keying (DPSK) or duobinary transmission. Designed to meet the complex demands of telecommunications systems and transponders, Inphi's differential encoder provides substantial signal integrity ensuring the highest performance in a wide range of designs.
The 13750DE/13751DE is qualified and is in compliance with JESD 47 as well as Telcordia GR-357-Core.
Inphi is positioned to meet the performance needs of customers such as JDSU and other players in this growing market.
By creating a group of solutions that work together, Inphi Corporation provides customers such as JDSU with the flexibility to quickly adapt solutions based on end-customers' applications.

Together with Inphi's 13700DF/13701DF and 13706RZ/13707RZ, the 13750DE/13751DE can be assembled on a single system to accomplish NRZ, RZ, Duobinary or DPSK transmission formats.
This gives customers the ultimate flexibility by allowing them to design one board and interchange the parts as needed to vary the transmission format.
'The differential encoder is a critical step in designing parts flexible enough to meet the complex and continually changing needs of the telecommunications marketplace', said Kevin Nary, Vice President of Engineering for Inphi Corporation.
'We hear directly from our customers that Inphi's differential encoders are an example of Inphi's commitment to setting industry standards in integrated circuit performance'.
The single chip design allows engineers to incorporate DPSK/duobinary with the industry's smallest footprint solution.
Its +/-3.3V supply enables reliable interfacing to a variety of logic levels.
The 13750DE/13751DE can be used from 1 to 12.5Gbit/s - with extremely low jitter - ensuring flexibility in design and application.
The 13750DE/13751DE gives customers the option of using either single-ended or differential inputs for the clock and data.
The 13750DE/13751DE's better than 300-degree input phase margin eases design by allowing a large window where the clock and data can be misaligned.
The differential encoder's large output swing of 1.1V enables it to interface to a variety of drivers, and its fast rise and fall times produce a cleaner and wide-open eye with better signal integrity.
Inphi Corporation's 13750DE/13751DE differential encoder parts are available immediately.
Initial pricing is expected to be $145.00 per part in quantities of 1000.
Volume discounts are available.
