In response to growing demand for its high performance integrated circuits, Inphi Corp has named Kenta Sakurai as Country Manager of its new office in Japan. Inphi's new Japanese office is in Gotanda, Tokyo, Japan, close to the leading corporations that rely on Inphi for components that transport, store and deliver high-speed data for the innovative high-performance communications and computing systems.
'Kenta's breadth of technical and marketing experience give him a unique ability to quickly understand customers' needs and demonstrate how Inphi's ICs provide sustainable competitive advantages for their next generation high-speed communications and computing system designs', said Paul Washkewicz, Vice President Sales and Marketing for Inphi Corp.
Sakurai joins Inphi after eight years as a Sales and Marketing Manager for Cypress with Macnica where he forged strong relationships with Cypress management and developed significant business for the company's programmable SoCs, SRAMs and clocks.
In addition, Sakurai held senior sales and marketing positions with AuthenTec, Advanced Micro Devices, Connect One and M-Systems with Macnica.
He was recognised by AMD as a leading contributor to distribution sales in Japan.
Sakurai earned two bachelors' degrees, one from Waseda University, Shinjuku-Ku, Tokyo in social science and one from Lewis and Clark State University, Lewiston in business administration.
