Setting new performance standards that directly meet customer needs in the high-performance telecommunications and test and measurement markets, Inphi Corporation today announced three new differential amplifiers developed specifically to meet the challenges encountered in designing broadband test and measurement equipment, automatic test equipment (ATE), and a wide range of aerospace and military applications.
The new products are the 1010DA DC to 9GHz and 1011DA DC to 10GHz differential amplifiers and the 1012VA DC to 10GHz differential variable gain amplifier.
'These parts meet a critical design need that has never been addressed by other solutions', said Kevin Nary, Vice President of Engineering for Inphi Corporation.
'We hear directly from our customers that Inphi's differential amplifiers clearly meet critical design needs in terms of bandwidth, linearity, and performance'.
'We believe these solutions are another example of Inphi's commitment to setting industry standards in integrated circuit performance'.
Inphi's innovative differential amplifiers are being embraced by engineers working with broadband, linear applications including arbitrary waveform generation, high-speed single-ended to differential convertors and post amplifiers for digital-to-analogue convertors.

The 1010DA, 1011DA and 1012VA are all true DC to 10GHz (3dB) amplifiers with superior linearity, gain flatness and return loss which are well suited for applications where a linearly amplified, broadband, differential or single-ended signal is required.
The 1010DA has a gain of 26dB and maximum differential output amplitude of 2V peak-peak; the 1011DA a gain of 32dB and maximum differential output amplitude of 4V peak-peak, and the 1012VA has a maximum differential gain of 27dB, dynamic range of better than 14dB and maximum differential output amplitude of 2V peak-peak.
The wide bandwidth of these parts allows designers to use a single part for multiple applications or design one piece of equipment to cover a wide frequency range, resulting in lower development costs and products with a relatively small footprint.
The exceptional linearity of the parts ensures that the output is a true representation of the input, resulting in less than 1% total harmonic distortion.
In addition, the high gain enables a low level single-ended or differential input while providing a 2 to 4V differential output.
All the new parts include differential input and output as well as input common mode ranges of +/-500mV.
The 1010DA and the 1012VA feature gain flatness of +/-0.5dB to 3.5GHz; an input return loss of 20dB to 5GHz; up to 2V peak-peak differential output, and an output return loss ranging from 15dB to 5GHz.
The 1010DA and the 1012VA are available in QFP packages.
Inphi Corporation's 1010DA and 1012VA parts are available immediately.
The 1011DA will be available in Q1 of 2006.
Initial pricing is expected to be $299.00 per part in small quantities.
Volume discounts are available.
