Aaeon's PCM-8500 series is the latest hot product for the socket 478 Pentium 4 CPU. The all-new Aaeon compact board incorporates the Intel 845GV chipset to support Intel's Hyper-Threading technology, quality integrated graphics, DDR 266/333 memory, 400/533MHz FSB and a rich array of advanced designs. Supporting the latest Intel Pentium 4/Celeron up to 3.06GHz and mobile Pentium 4 Processor-M up to 2.4GHz, the PCM-8500 takes users to the next level of processing power.

With Intel's Hyper-Threading technology, multiple threads of software applications can now run simultaneously on a single 3.06GHz Pentium 4 CPU, increasing processor resource use by approximately 40% compared with conventional solutions in the past.

Combined with DDR 266/333 memory support, the PCM-8500 provides the bandwidth and performance for memory-intensive tasks.

The PCM-8500 is based on the Intel 845GV chipset and Chrontel CH7017 and delivers integrated graphics for multimedia right out of the box.

Targeting high-performance POS, ATM and kiosk/POI markets, PCM-8500 comes with stable SXGA (1280 x 1024) LVDS panel support, NTSC and pal TV-out function and superb six-channel audio.

It also supports simultaneous displays and dual view functions are featured.

The PCM-8500 includes the Intel 82562 LAN controller for high-speed data transfer at 10/100Mbit/s and three fast USB 2.0 pin headers are fitted for a maximum of six easy-connected 480Mbit/s USB plug-and-play devices.

Multipurpose digital I/O support is also included plus four conventional serial connectors, UDMA100 fast-speed IDE connector, floppy disk drive connector, parallel port, CRT port and IrDA Tx/Rx.

Furthermore a Type II CompactFlash slot, PCI slot, Type III Mini PCI slot and Type II PCMCIA slots are available for future extensions such as wireless LAN work, data storage expansion etc.
