Aaeon's new compact board PCM-6894 is an advanced PIII level 5.25in SBC
Supporting the newest Intel Tualatin processor, this board is aimed at high-end multimedia and networking markets. Using the Via VT82C694T/82C686B chipset, the PCM-6894 optimises the performance of Intel Tualatin/Pentium III/Celeron processor running at 66/100/133MHz FSB speeds. This board supports Ultra DMA/100 mode with a data transfer rate up to 100Mbyte/s to accelerate data fetching from storage devices.

The SMI Lynx3DM SM722 display controller with built-in 4Mbyte SGRAM features a 128bit performance 2D/3D mobile graphics engine.
The PCM-6894 uses this mobile 3D controller to support popular display modes including CRT, up to 24bit TTL/LVDS TFT LCD and TV-output (NTSC/Pal compliant).
The 24bit LVDS interface provides large-size display capability suitable for multimedia presentations on screen.
The onboard dual Realtek RTL 8139C 10/100Base-T fast Ethernet controllers and two RJ45 connectors provide instant and high-speed access to Internet.
The PCM-6894 also includes four high-speed serial ports (three RS232, one RS232/422/485), one multimode (ECP/EPP/SPP) parallel port, two USB ports, four IDE devices, two floppy drives, a keyboard/PS/2 mouse interface and IrDA interface.
Designers can use AT or ATX power supplies to suit application needs.
The onboard PCI slot and PC/104 connectors offer wide expansion possibilities using addon modules.
The PCM-6894 is compatible with many popular OS including Windows 9x series, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows NT4.0, Windows XP and Linux RedHat 7.2.
Its software support scalability ensures application flexibility between different operating systems.
