InduKey has added four- and five-wire resistive and capacitive touchscreens to its product range

InduKey is expanding its family of industrial keyboards and input devices with an additional cost-effective solution for system integrators and resellers. According to Marco van der Linden, MD of InduKey UK, an increasing number of companies are asking for systems that incorporate a mouse, a keyboard, and a touchscreen.

'It gives the most flexibility', says van der Linden.

'Touch screen monitors are no longer confined to gaming machines or video games as novelty items'.

'Today, they can be found in many application environments as part of public information systems, in vehicle solutions and man-machine interfaces'.

'With the growing popularity of touch screen enabled Palm Pilots and other PDAs, most people come into contact with touchscreens on an almost daily basis', added van der Linden.

Touchscreen technology offers many benefits, the user need only his finger to operate the chosen device.

However, it is not only mobile devices that benefit from this type of input.

All kinds of devices can be equipped, including TV and computer monitors and LCD screens.

As a result, a bartender can press on a screen to ring up drinks on a busy night rather than type in a price, a nurse can input patient information with one hand making the possibilities of touch truly endless.

The touch screen interface can be used in a wide variety of applications to improve human-machine interaction.

Applications include: point of information, point of sale, gaming machines, industrial applications and much more.

InduKey is offering a wide range of high-quality resistive and capacitive touchscreens up to 21in.
