Inertial unveils synchro/resolver output cards
Inertial Aerosystems has introduced a new range of low-cost dual-channel PC104 compliant synchro/resolver output cards.
The PC104-DS series are manufactured by US-based Computer Conversions and is designed to provide precision-simulated AC synchro and resolver formatted signals for use in navigation and positioning systems.
It can also be used with test sets for both industrial and COTS military type applications or combined with synchro amplifiers for Torque Receiver applications.
All models provide 16Gbits resolution and selectable accuracy grades from +/-4 arc minutes to + / - 30 arc seconds and Built in Test.
These units are virtually indestructible, with transformer isolation, thermal and transient protected and short circuit proof.
Featuring a wide-band frequency of DC-10,000Hz, and a COTS operating temperature range of -45 to +85C, these units are ideal for upgrades of heritage equipment, as well as new applications.
The use of internal isolation transformers on the reference inputs provides phasing flexibility and immunity from ground loops or ground reference induced noise.
It is an effective barrier to prevent any electrical noise on the reference source input from affecting the users digital-control system.
The PC104-DS range can be populated with up to four different style output converters.
These versatile products are ideal for use where space and weight are at a premium.
They are ideal for GPS-type applications, head up display systems, field test equipment, mobile antenna's, air and nautical navigation aids.
