Interactive Products Corp is claiming the industry's first fully modularised high-speed-design signal integrity tool

To provide the EDA community more tool flexibility and pricing options, IPC has de-embedded all modules of its industry-leading IFS Pro high-speed-design signal integrity tool. This provides the user the ability to customise the tool according to specific needs and requirements. Subsequently, users will only pay for the modules they need.

The modularisation of the tool also accommodates the ability to easily add modules as requirements evolve.

Prices for single-user licences vary from as low as US $250 to $15,000, depending on needs.

IPC also offers an unheard of site-wide and worldwide pricing structure.

This is an "all your company can eat" annual subscription option allowing unlimited number of users for a company specific site or worldwide on an annual basis.

Unlike tools from other vendors, IFS Pro very accurately supports low to high-speed simulation (up to many gigabits per second) in one single product; users don't need to buy an upgrade or another tool for high-speed simulation needs.

IFS Pro has been benchmarked by major chip, connector and cable manufacturers and proven extremely accurate in all frequency ranges.

The end-to-end signal integrity module tool suite includes: three "niche" model input panels (each comes with a frequency-dependent BEM field solver); five unique "universal" Spice models - lossy and lossless; and an interface to an embedded Spice simulator.

The three niche model definition modules comprise: EZ Stack for rapid stack-up creation; EZ Geo for rapid pseudo-arbitrary geometry creation; and DXF In to import CAD application files.

IFS Pro outputs portable Spice models, electromagnetic reports, time simulation, frequency simulation and eye patterns.
