The Boards and Solutions UK 2006 technical conference and exhibition will be held on 24th May at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, Reading. This year's event sees many enhancements, and there will be four main sessions, covering: Intel multicore processing; real time operating systems - new technical trends; safety critical software and embedded security; and mil-aero electronics. In addition to the welcome participation of the Intel Communications Alliance, which sponsors a special session at this year's event about multicore processing, the organiser is also excited about the new mil-aero electronics stream, which will address such topics as warfare networking, ruggedisation and cooling.
Embedded computing represents important technology to the multi-billion-Euro European defence and security industries - the aim of this conference will be to bring solutions not otherwise available on the Internet to that community and other markets.
The principal speaker for the RTOS session will be David Kalinsky, who is known for his expertise in RTOS and related spheres.
A further software session will feature papers presented on mission/safety critical software and MILS (multiple independent levels of security).
